Wow! That's all I can say really, the 3rd of these events was simply off the chain, and firmly established itself as one of the key events on the Indie Soul Calendar.

We had the place rocking, yet still retaining a convivial atmosphere where attendees could actually talk, connect and do some business. The only thing they couldn't do was move! The place was rammed!

As stated elsewhere this is not a gig, though there is performance. The main thing to us is to retain the atmosphere and vibe that makes this thing work. It is about connecting, making contacts, working your business and building the Nu Soul Movement and taking it to the next level. I believe we acheived much of this and we will continue to work to this end.

We had in the house well over 50 artists. How many events can boast that - there is a list on a separate post - maybe only the biggest of the Summits. Artists ranged from those at the top of the game to newer and upcoming artists. I hope you all gained something of value and I look forward to your support in the future. I am sorry if I was unable to have long conversations with each of you but it was crazy - eh! Nonetheless you, each and every one of you, have my continued support, help, and love. Thank you, thank you , thank you.

In addition, and I am not going to single anyone out as it would be unfair, there were people from all sides of the industry, all with common aims to build this movement. OK we work individually and that is good to add our own nuances, touches and individuality, but it is only collectively that this thing will work.

We had promoters, tastemakers, DJ's, media, radio - internet and terrestrial, publicists, label owners and managers, booking agents, website owners, writers, producers, musicians, pretty much every facet of the industry was there. Many many thanks to all of you and not forgetting the fans that were there.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to the following people:

To my partner in this event Dexter Myers and his team Tasha and Derrick without whose help and dedication this would not happen.

To George Littlejohn for putting forward his artists to perform.

To Angela Johnson and Monet for performing, they were perfect artists for this style of event.

To Eric Roberson for speaking, his words of wisdom, his words of inspiration, positivity and focus.

To Gordon Chambers for agreeing to speak at no notice, his endorsement of Eric's words....and for remembering that it was my birthday (the first mixer we did which Gordon supported we built around my birthday but we have remained silent on this ever since but Gordon remembered)

To Terry Bello who used the opportunity to announce that he was moving the date of the International Soul Summit to end of July, and that he would be giving full support to th I've Got Soul Conference.

To Steve Wallace for being on hand to help sort out one or two technical difficulties, and for being an all round great guy and supporter. It was also a pleasure to meet his fiancee Robye - can't wait for the Wedding, and whilst love is in the air Eric Roberson's fiancee as well.

Well what next - Dexter and I have had a debrief and we already have new fresh ideas, we will be retaining the vibe and the core values, but watch this space! Any feedback though is much appreciated.
